Community Garden
Our lovely Community Garden at The Tin Hat Centre is a peaceful green space right in the heart of Selston — open to everyone.
Opened in the summer of 2023, the garden offers a friendly outdoor space where you can slow down, connect with nature, and see things grow. It’s a place for the community to come together, whether that’s to share a cuppa, enjoy a quiet moment under the trees, or get hands-on with planting and growing produce for our charity.
You’re very welcome to pop in during our open hours — have some lunch, meet friends, or simply take a breather. You can even join our garden group if you fancy getting involved, no matter your level of experience. We’re always looking for volunteers to help us care for the space — whether that’s planting, weeding, watering, or just being a friendly face to others who visit.

Volunteering in the garden is a brilliant way to meet people, learn new skills, and support your wellbeing. It can be as flexible as you need it to be — once a week, once a month, or just when you can spare the time. If you’re interested, just let us know — we’d love to have you on board.
